Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

Your driver will pick you up from your hotel or riad at 7:30 AM to begin your desert adventure. Travel across the High Atlas Mountains through the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m), with stops for panoramic views and photos of traditional Berber villages.

Arrive at the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Morocco’s most famous fortified village, featured in movies like Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia. Enjoy a guided visit before continuing to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa.”

After lunch, continue through the Valley of the Roses and Skoura palm grove, arriving at the Dades Valley in the late afternoon. Take in the dramatic scenery of its winding canyon roads before settling into your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart from Dades Valley around 8:00 AM, following the scenic Road of 1000 Kasbahs through picturesque Berber villages. Stop in Tineghir to admire the lush palm grove before heading to the Todra Gorges, where you can enjoy a short walk beneath its towering canyon walls.

Continue toward Merzouga, with stops for lunch and to visit a local fossil workshop in Erfoud. Upon arrival, prepare for your camel trekking adventure, a two-hour ride through the dunes of Erg Chebbi just in time for sunset.

Arrive at your luxury desert camp, where a traditional Moroccan dinner will be served under the stars, accompanied by Berber drumming and desert melodies.

Wake early to witness the sunrise over the golden dunes, one of the most magical moments of the journey. After breakfast, ride your camel back to the hotel for a quick shower before beginning the scenic drive back to Marrakech.

Travel through Tazarine, Draa Valley, Agdz, and Ouarzazate, with plenty of opportunities to stop for photos and lunch. Continue through the High Atlas Mountains before arriving in Marrakech by early evening, where your driver will drop you off at your accommodation, marking the end of your unforgettable desert adventure.
